The work of artists, builders and cultural practitioners is a vital component of a dynamic artistic and cultural life.
It is essential to the vitality of the municipality.

The Edmundston Arts Hall of Fame’s mandate is to recognize and honour individuals and groups :

who have distinguished themselves by the excellence of their achievements and contributions in the fields of literary arts, visual arts, performing arts, cinematographic arts, fine crafts, community cultural development and arts education,

and/or

who have brought special distinction to Edmundston in any artistic field, or who have made a major contribution to the organization and development of the arts in Edmundston.

And to permanently record and highlight the achievements of these individuals or groups.
